To insure software quality, Scientific Imaging provides free software updates that address possible incompatibilities and problems. License holders of a particular release of Scientific Imaging software are entitled to the minor revisions to that release, as described below. Scientific Imaging software is identified by a version number that has three fields. These fields are separated by periods. The first field is the major release number, the second field is the minor release number, and the last field is the release revision number. The last field is omitted when zero. This occurs when major or minor releases first come out. For example, a version number of 3.1.2 represents the second revision to the 3.1 software release. License holders of the 3.1 release (which includes 3.1.1) are entitled to the 3.1.2 revision without charge. Use of software revisions is covered by the same license agreement as the original release. Use of the software implies acceptance of the license agreement. All files at this site with .bin extensions are encoded in MacBinary format. Some communications programs automatically decode this format. Otherwise you can use a program such as Stuffit Expander to restore the files to Macintosh format. Registered users can contact Scientific Imaging to obtain software archive passwords. |
